"Issues of World War III" Survey
"Is it morally acceptable for a man to have multiple wives?" Three-quarters of respondents either favored polygamy outright (on the basis of Biblical practice) or at least on condition of being permitted under American law; the balance opposed polygamy altogether. Here are some excerpted comments:
Factual Background:
Although practiced widely in Biblical times, polygamy gradually disappeared among the Jewish people over subsequent centuries. Already more than 2,000 years ago, during the period of the second Jerusalem Temple, monogamy was the universal norm for all Jews; of nearly 3,000 rabbis mentioned in the Talmud, apparently all but one were monogamous. By 1,000 years ago, a rabbinical decree formally ended polygamy for all but a few Middle Eastern Jews.
Bigamy, however, continued in existence until rather recently in Christian Europe, and was still practiced by some Christians as recently as the 16th century. Christianity itself never accepted the Jewish rabbinical enactments against polygamy, and its "New Testament" did not prohibit having multiple wives. It was only under growing Jewish influence that the Christian world gradually adopted the Judaic concept of monogamy, to the point that it is now enshrined in law.
The Mormon Church tried to throw off these new restrictions against polygamy in the 1800s, but reverted back to monogamy to gain legal acceptance in the United States. However, certain factions spun off from the Mormons in order to continue having multiple wives. These sects still exist today, generally located in remote rural areas of Idaho, Utah, and Arizona.
Authorities have tended to look the other way in allowing polygamy by those communities, but in recent years some activists with those breakaway Mormon sects have pursued high-profile challenges to the legal system to try to get polygamy officially legalized. This has led to a backlash and prosecution, in at least one case, of a man on charges of polygamy, while drawing favorable attention from anarchists, libertarians, and even television networks that now publicize the existence of polygamy. Thus a debate is rising as to whether or not the practice should be legal.
Relevant Torah Principles:
1) The Torah does allow a man to have an unlimited number of wives (a woman, however, can only have one husband, and would be guilty of adultery for trying to have a second one). This also applies to gentiles under the Noahide Laws. The only restriction is on the Jewish king, who is limited to a maximum of 18 wives.
2) Each wife brings certain obligations on the husband. He must provide a separate residence for each one, plus her full allotted supply of food, clothing, and marital relations. Later rabbinical law added further obligations, such as medical care. A man may not marry an additional wife unless he can keep her satisfied without diminishing his support and attention for the others, and thus his maximum number of wives depends on his resources and strength.
3) However, as mentioned above, Jewish rabbinical decree formally ended the ability to have more than one wife. This enactment is not binding on gentiles, only on Jews. The reason behind the decree had to do with the declining ability of men to handle multiple wives properly, finally reaching the point that a man has his hands full, so to speak, with one wife. A man is no longer considered to have the strength to handle more.
4) According to the Lubavitcher Rebbe (based on various Torah sources), those aspects of Jewish Law which are derived from common sense or practical logic are also binding on gentiles, whether or not they are formally included in the Seven Noahide Laws. The rabbinical edict enforcing monogamy, based as it is on practical realities of the last two millenia, presumably therefore applies to gentiles as well — as a moral obligation of Torah not officially formulated in the Noahide Laws.
Analysis:
It is appropriate for gentiles to imitate Jewish values and practice in such issues as monogamy. Consequently, not only is it immoral for a man to marry more than one wife even if allowed by law, but gentile societies should ban the practice altogether.
The Mormon Church and its offshoots reintroduced the practice as part of their overall pagan agenda, in line with the Gnostic propaganda of Freemasonry, which seeks to revive ancient idolatry and paganism. The Mormon Church is even more idolatrous than regular Christianity, promoting belief in a virtually unlimited pantheon of greater and lesser deities (as opposed to the four deities common to most forms of Christianity — the "trinity" and the Satan, the "god" of evil). Although polygamy is theoretically allowed by Torah for gentiles, it is no longer moral, and Mormon sects seek to introduce polygamy at a wrong period of history as an opening to other immorality.
Authorities should move expeditiously to suppress polygamous sects, rather than looking the other way as they have for decades.

In our March 19th and March 26th issues of this year, we reviewed the interfaith, pro-Communist activities of Yona Metzger, who is working overtime to arrange the merger of Judaism together with other religions into a "New World Order" pseudo-religion controlled by the Communists.
Given Metzger's unconcealed agenda, where do you suppose he would ultimately go to further his religion-mashing work? Why, Moscow, of course!
And that's exactly where he was earlier this month — claiming to represent Judaism at the "World Summit of Religious Leaders."
The destruction of Judaism wouldn't be complete without throwing every conceivable false religion into the mix, including the most pagan, idolatrous ones. The conference was attended by 200 leaders of Eastern Orthodox Christianity, Islam, the Roman Catholic Church, Buddhism, and others from 40 countries.
But since the purpose was to create a Communist-front pseudo-religion, the conference had to be dominated by phony "clergy" working for the secret police of Communist regimes. Accordingly, the Eastern Orthodox leaders were agents of the Soviet KGB in the official Moscow Patriarchate, controlled by the Communists since the 1920s; the "Muslim" leaders were largely also KGB agents running the secularized, non-religious "Islam" of Soviet republics; the "Buddhist" leaders were from Communist Cambodia, where the only religion allowed to survive was that controlled by the regime; and the Vatican's delegation was sent by Pope Benedict XVI, himself a longtime Marxist agitator for subversion of the Catholic Church whose mentor, Hans Küng, is an even more flagrant Marxist affiliated with the Communist-front
And then there was Yona Metzger, friend of Communist dictators throughout the Soviet Bloc.
The conference, naturally, was opened and led by Soviet Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the ruthless former head of the KGB/FSB secret police. He didn't even bother pretending he didn't run the entire show; in fact, he openly dictated the agenda for the conference, including the elimination of independent nationhood for each country, environmentalism, disarmament (of non-Communists, of course) and (through one of his KGB lackeys in the Russian Orthodox "Church") the formation of a "global union" of religions.
"Rabbi" Metzger enthusiastically took every opportunity to be seen with the murderous Putin, who continues arming the PLO and Hezbollah, and Metzger once again called for a "United Nations of religions." Judaism, needless to say, would be destroyed (
It's not the least bit surprising that Metzger, this last week, still refused to condemn the Israeli ethnic cleansing of Jews out of Gaza last year, and likewise refused to admit the Gaza "evacuation" helped bring on the current PLO/Hezbollah war. In other words, Metzger has all along supported Israeli surrender to the Soviet-controlled PLO.
It doesn't take a genius to realize Metzger is himself an undercover Communist agent working for the Soviet KGB. But it will take a courageous rabbi to assemble a beis din (Jewish court) to declare Metzger under excommunication from the Jewish people. That would deal a serious blow to his treasonous sellout of Jews, Judaism, and Israel.

Have Some Jewish Leaders Betrayed the Torah?
This week's example:
An update on "refusenik" Rabbi Fishel Jacobs, Chabad of Tel Aviv Univ., Tel Aviv, Israel
Jewish Law states that, when an enemy attacks and war is upon us, no one is allowed to pursue any activity except combat. Everyone must stop all other mitzvos ("good deeds"), quit their jobs if necessary, leave their families and homes, and join the battle front; even women must suspend normal activities and work in support of the war. Special enforcers armed with axes are deployed behind our side's soldiers, and anyone who tries to back away from the front lines has his legs immediately chopped off with those axes (Rambam, Mishneh Torah, Laws of Kings 7:4,15).
In the battle against Bolshevik Communism in Russia in the 1920s, the Previous Rebbe (Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, sixth leader of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement) demanded that every single Hasidic follower risk his own life, and those of his wife and children, to prevent the Communists from shutting down Jewish practice. As the Communists became bolder and began sending Hasidim and their families to torture-center prisons, concentration camps, and other extermination facilities, many Hasidim started panicking and wanted to back down. In an extraordinary public meeting in Russia, the Previous Rebbe refused to allow them to abandon the fight — to the point that, in front of everyone, the Rebbe issued a curse against all those who would back out that they would die within one year. With the Rebbe's inescapably deadly curse at their backs, the Hasidim fought on, many of them murdered by the Communists while others survived.
The seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, publicly condemned rabbis in Israel in the early 1980s for refusing to speak out publicly against the government's surrender of land to Communist Egypt. The rabbis were receiving government grants of money to sustain their yeshivos (Jewish schools) and Torah-study programs, and were afraid to speak out lest they lose their funding. But the Rebbe declared unhesitatingly that those rabbis, by refusing to risk losing their money and their yeshivos, were equivalent to murderers under Jewish Law — and that they had the blood of many Jews on their filthy, money-grubbing hands.
All the above principles (and curses) apply all the more so to "refusenik" rabbis today, who willingly sacrifice Jewish lives for "other mitzvos," synagogue programs, jobs, or money, rather than signing the PLO-defunding Proclamation and thus speaking out publicly. We are today at war with the PLO and its close allies, and no one — especially not a rabbi — has any right to shirk his combat duty at the front lines of the war against the PLO and the Communist Bloc (of which the PLO is a finger).
Rabbi Fishel Jacobs was approached by a JAHG-USA volunteer about a year ago, in late July of 2005, with our PLO-defunding Proclamation. Rabbi Jacobs refused to sign, excusing himself by citing legal restrictions preventing him from doing so as a prison chaplain in Israel. We accordingly publicized his refusal, and in our April 23, 2006, issue of this newsletter, we profiled him for his crass cowardice.
Recently, Rabbi Jacobs found his public shaming on the Internet. He reacted with fury, like so many "refuseniks" who think they have the right to bow out of their most basic Jewish responsibilities while also escaping public responsibility. Days ago, he wrote in to complain that we should stop exposing him. He claims that, as a prison chaplain, he would have been prosecuted and punished by the Israeli government for signing the Proclamation.
But today he is no longer a prison chaplain, yet he's still not offering to sign!
Rabbi Jacobs, like all cowards, is simply scraping the barrel for any excuse to avoid inconveniencing himself to save Jewish lives and fulfill his duty in the war against the PLO — while simultaneously trying to maintain a self-righteous image of holiness. Well, Rabbi Jacobs, we have news for you: You can't have it both ways.
Nothing currently prevents him from doing teshuva (repentance), apologizing for avoiding his duty to his fellow Jews, and signing now. Nothing prevented him last year from quitting his chaplain job (a side job; primarily he runs his own synagogue and is a book author) in order to do the right thing. For that matter, nothing prevented him from doing his basic duty and risking "punishment" for speaking out while maintaining the chaplain job. Nothing has ever blocked him from participating in defunding the PLO — except his own haughty evil inclination.
Over 1,000 PLO/Hezbollah missiles rained down on Israel this past week, murdering dozens and injuring hundreds, while several Israelis remain enemy hostages. A more successful, better supported PLO-defunding campaign would have already undercut the PLO even before eliminating its funding, and much of the ongoing war might never have happened. The blood of all these Jews is on Rabbi Jacobs' hands, as stated unequivocally in the Shulchan Oruch (table of Jewish Law). And since he still isn't repenting, all the Jewish blood and damage that will take place in the coming days will also be on his hands.
If Rabbi Jacobs would simply admit his cowardice while continuing to refuse to sign, we would simply say "shame on you." But since he also insists on painting himself as a righteous Hasid while sacrificing Jewish blood on the altar of his ego, words fail us. His evil is just too monstrous.
Taking advantage of American apathy, the Bush Administration is still funding the escalating PLO/Hezbollah war against Israelis, Turks, Arabs, and Americans. Here are your tax dollars at work over the last week:
Summary of terror attacks, Wednesday (July 12) through Tuesday (July 18th): Most of the casualties were from over 1,000 Soviet Russian Katyusha missiles, more than 500 mortar shells, & large amounts of heavy artillery fired by the PLO/Hezbollah units in Lebanon at Israeli homes and apartment buildings; many of the victims in Israel were Arabs. PLO/Hezbollah in Lebanon also fired a Red Chinese C-802 anti-ship missile at an Israeli naval ship, killing 4, and fired several Fajr missiles made in Soviet-controlled Iran and Communist Syria at residential areas in cities. All other attacks were conducted by units of the PLO or its close ally Hamas, which the PLO funds with American money.
This week's casualty count (not counting dead & injured terrorists):
All the media attention on Israel's current war has shifted attention from the PLO to Hamas, and then from Hamas to Hezbollah in Lebanon. In all the fuss, a person might easily think the PLO is not involved.
As pointed out before, Hamas is little more than a PLO front, which Fatah (the PLO's ruling group) funds to the tune of millions of dollars annually. But Hezbollah is even more tightly part of the PLO.
Hezbollah of Lebanon was not founded until 1982. Until that point, the PLO had occupied and controlled southern Lebanon, where it was assembling a vast Soviet-constructed military force preparing to invade Israel — until Menachem Begin struck preemptively with a three-pronged invasion of Lebanon. Within a matter of days, the PLO forces were destroyed or neutralized and Arafat himself was besieged in Beirut. President Ronald Reagan, who openly favored pushing Israel to surrender to the PLO, rushed in U.S. Marines to protect what was left of Arafat and his PLO forces.
Israel caved in to Reagan's diplomatic pressure and agreed to let the PLO escape Lebanon under U.S. protection. But Arafat had no intention of abandoning his hold on such strategic land. PLO agent Abbas Zamani (also an agent of the Soviet KGB) had founded a new PLO front group in the area, Hezbollah, to act as diversion for certain PLO activities. Arafat ordered his lieutenant, Imad Mugniyeh (a member of the elite Force 17 guard of Fatah) to place several PLO units under the "Hezbollah" flag of his fellow PLO agent Zamani. Under that flag, they were allowed to stay behind in Lebanon, while Mugniyeh — and thus Arafat, behind the scenes — became the operational commander of Lebanese Hezbollah to this very day.
That explains the close collaboration between Hezbollah, the PLO, and Hamas; all three groups are little more than alternative names for branches of the PLO. That also means "Hezbollah" is neither Shiite nor religious at all, but rather just another secular, atheistic, Marxist group hiding behind a thin layer of "Muslim"-sounding phrases. And those "Hezbollah" forces in Lebanon are the very same PLO forces that Ronald Reagan allowed to remain behind, shielded from Israeli counterattack.
The job that Israel failed to finish in 1982 has returned in full force. Dare we ever fail to annihilate the Communist enemy again?

Many Jewish Leaders Are Helping the JAHG-USA Campaign

Once many of the directors of the primary rabbinical council of the Flatbush area endorsed the PLO-defunding campaign, several members of the council signed up as well.
Rabbi Ziegler saw and signed the Proclamation last October 31st. In addition to being a member of the Flatbush Vaad, he is the dean of a yeshiva for newly married men, the Agudas Achim Kollel (located in the Boro Park area of Brooklyn). This makes him more scholarly and authoritative than the average rabbi. He is one of several heads of yeshivos to endorse the JAHG-USA campaign.
A JAHG-USA volunteer showed Rabbi Stone the Proclamation on November 9th, and he signed immediately. In addition to being a member of the Flatbush Vaad, Rabbi Stone is also more authoritative than most rabbis, being a Rav who heads his own beis din (rabbinical court) and having authority to render decisions of Jewish Law. He also runs his own synagogue, Congregation Adath Yeshurun in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, and was previously head of a Young Israel synagogue also in Flatbush.
Rabbi Barry was presented the Proclamation on November 5th, but needed a few days to read it carefully. On November 9th, our volunteer returned and got Rabbi Barry's signature. A member of the Flatbush council, Rabbi Barry is also an administrator at the Sephardic Synagogue of Avenue "R" in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Rabbis Ziegler and Barry are orthodox but not Hasidic, while Rabbi Stone is a Chabad-Lubavitch Hasid. Support for the PLO-defunding campaign cuts across all lines in the orthodox Jewish world, because it is a fundamental matter of Jewish Law binding on everyone. Congratulations to these rabbis for speaking out and thereby already slowing down the PLO enemy!

"…you said that Church leaders seek to discredit those leaders in favor of Jesus. Didn't you mean the opposite, i.e., to discredit those NOT in favor of Jesus?" — TE.
Our response: Based on messages we received, it seems our wording was confusing. We meant to say that Church leaders have long waged smear campaigns against such righteous leaders as King David — in favor of (literally) deifying the rebellious Jesus as their "messiah," man-god, etc.
In other words, Church leaders have trashed
