"In which country, and working with with terrorist group, was one of the recently prosecuted members of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA)?" The correct answer was researched and discovered by GE of southern California. James Kilgore, one of the four SLA terrorists recently convicted and sent to prison for murder, was found in 2002 in South Africa, where he was a long-time, actively involved member of the terrorist African National Congress (ANC).

As a member of the Symbionese Liberation Army in the mid-1970s, Kilgore participated its campaign of bombings, armed robbery, and murder. The SLA was supported by such Communist groups as the National Lawyers Guild and the Weather Underground Organization. After a series of police raids and gunbattles between the SLA and police, Kilgore had to flee the US to avoid capture. He went to Africa, working for a time for the Communist regime of Zimbabwe before entering South Africa as a member of the ANC.

Kilgore and the ANC are certainly birds of a feather. Controlled since at least the 1950s by the Communist Party of South Africa (which itself is under direct control of the Soviet Russian KGB), the ANC has ravaged South Africa with a massive revolutionary war. Its arsenal of activities includes instigating riots and urban guerrilla warfare, bombings, assassinations, armed robbery, etc. ANC leader (and member of the Communist Party) Nelson Mandela was arrested in the 1960s for his participation; in his possession were staggering quantities of military assault guns, ammunition, hand grenades, mines, and other bombs. Mandela openly advocated the physical torture, mutilation, and murder of blacks to terrorize them into the revolution.

The ANC has enthusiastically carried out Mandela's advice, murdering hundreds of blacks by "necklacing," a technique that causes the victim to burn to death slowly over the course of twenty minutes or more — thereby setting a gruesome example that intimidates all other blacks. Today, hardly a single black in all of South Africa dares oppose the ANC revolution.

And naturally, the ANC has been generously supported by Yassir Arafat and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). This helps account for the violent anti-Semitism of ANC leaders and supporters, who have threatened a new Holocaust against the Jews of South Africa (if they ever get the chance, G-d forbid).

This week's example: Rabbi Ezra Schochet, Yeshiva Ohr Elchonon Chabad, Los Angeles, CA

Rabbi Schochet received a copy of our proclamation (calling on all Jews to participate in the campaign to defund the PLO) on February 23, 2005 at 1:36pm. He has not responded to its urgent message in the four months since.

If we were able to contribute huge sums of money to his yeshiva, Schochet might very well want to sign; he is well-known for changing his viewpoint according to the preference of the latest financial donor. But when he doesn't see the advantage, he can be ruthless in trashing those he doesn't like — as, for example, when he publicly expressed his opposition to the views of many Lubavitch Hasidim by throwing a picture of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, onto the floor of his yeshiva/synagogue one Shabbos and stepping on it for several minutes in brazen defiance (for the record, Schochet is himself a Lubavitcher!). This story is no exaggeration; Boruch Ellison was one of the shocked congregants present to witness Schochet stomping on the picture of the Rebbe's face.

Four year ago, when JAHG-USA was verbally promoting the campaign to defund the PLO (especially in the Los Angeles area), Schochet kept silent and pretended not to notice anything. But once we began advocating the campaign to abolish X-mas celebration (as required by the rules of Torah), Schochet lost his cool and furiously opposed this Torah imperative. When confronted with quotations from the Lubavitcher Rebbe and Jewish sage Maimonides — rules that the Lubavitcher Rebbe clearly stated apply to us today — Schochet willfully ignored them and twisted the Torah acrobatically just to prevent others from participating.

The Talmud, in Tractate Sanhedrin, states that shortly before the coming of Moshiach, the houses of Torah study would become brothels of prostitution. From the way Schochet freely turns the Torah any which way he desires, we can now see that the Talmud wasn't talking about female prostitutes, but rather the selling of Torah to the highest bidder. As the Rebbe pointed out two decades ago, heads of yeshivos who are silent in opposing the surrender of Israel (or funding for PLO terror, for that matter) are themselves guilty of shedding Jewish blood. Schochet knows exactly what he is doing.

As a reminder of our obligations to save lives, here's the next halacha from the proclamation:

Proclamation Rule No. 5
Indeed, Jewish law requires the rabbi to precede his entire congregation in rushing forward to save lives, so as to provide a proper example to others (source: Rambam, Mishneh Torah, Laws of Shabbos 2:3). [And we hardly need to comment about rabbis who precede the entire congregation in making sure no one saves lives!]

This week's example: Rabbi Dovid Leib Myhill, Bnos Menachem girls' school, Brooklyn, NY

On May 22, Rabbi Myhill was presented a copy of our proclamation in person. Having read it, he could not help but agree with it and signed it on the spot. As an administrator of a girls' school, Rabbi Myhill certainly puts to shame Rabbi Schochet, the head of a boys' yeshiva. Rabbi Myhill was formerly also a Chabad representative in Las Vegas, Nevada, and obviously there was nothing about his work running a synagogue that interfered with recognizing his responsibility to help defund the PLO. So there's no conceivable reason for some other Chabad shluchim to ignore the proclamation.

Our response: In the late 1970s, as the problem of homosexuality was surfacing aggressively, the Lubavitcher Rebbe spoke out and called for people to be involved in solving it — including helping homosexuals repent and return to normality.

But yes, the breakdown of society in general, and the proliferation of immorality in particular, are among the clear signs of the imminent coming of Moshiach and the Messianic Era, as mentioned in Tractates Sanhedrin and Sotah of the Talmud Bavli. The Christian religion came along later, of course, and echoed the Jewish teachings that date back to Mount Sinai.

The bigger question is: Why? From the standpoint of G-d's master plan, this social crisis is only necessary if people don't turn to His Law (i.e., the Noachide Laws) voluntarily. If people are stubborn and resist, then G-d must cause the fabric of our lives to come apart, until things become so horrible that we are forced to repent and turn to Him and His Law. As long as Christianity (or Buddhism or Islam, for that matter) continue clinging to their own, man-made standards, the "birthpangs of Moshiach" must become ever more painful. Eventually, everyone will be forced to choose between the Satanic world revolution of Amalek against the Creator, or siding with G-d according to His Law, on His terms.

And the nation of Amalek itself is the tool for exerting the pressure. One could write a serious article, if not a book, on the involvement of Communists and their allies in promoting the "gay rights" movement. It suffices to say that any Christian attempt to resist it will continue to fail, whereas a genuine effort of Jews and Hasidic Gentiles would be amazingly successful.
