"Test Your WWIII-IQ" Contest

"With this year's massive increase in its military budget, which country is expected to become the world's second-biggest military spender, second only to the U.S.?" Cody was the first to submit the correct answer—Red China—and won first place, followed by TE of southern California in second. Consistent with its aggressive spending for military expansion, the Communist government of the People's Republic of China has announced another increase of $29.9 billion in its military spending for 2005. However, many analysts suspect that the Red Chinese government has drastically understated the real increase, which is more likely to be at least $60 to $80 billion. In any case, it is clear the Chinese Communists are mobilizing for a major war against the non-Communist world.

And now for this week's question:

Which nation is the main source of weapons purchased by the Communist Chinese government for its military?

Letters to the Editor

[Regarding the issue of Chabad shluchim who so far have refused to support the campaign to end U.S. funding of the PLO] "I might suggest you call these men...."—David

Our response: An excellent idea! Every reader of this newsletter should promptly write, call, or e-mail each rabbi who has not yet endorsed the anti-PLO proclamation (see the complete listing at http://www.attacreport.com/plo/). These rabbis should hear from you and all your friends and acquaintances about their Torah obligation to help end U.S. funding of the PLO. (Their phone numbers and e-mail addresses are readily available at http://www.chabad.com/centers.cfm.)

We also strongly encourage you to print out the proclamation and take it to your local rabbi to insist that he sign it (or refer him to the Web page with the proclamation). Please send signed proclamations by postal mail to JAHG-USA; e-mail us to obtain our mailing address.
