Amazingly, no attempt to guess the answer to last week's question even came close. "From where did the current Iraqi government derive its design for the new Iraqi flag?" The answer is splashed all over many news photos from Iraq. A simple examination will reveal that the "new" Iraqi flag is exactly Saddam Hussein's old Baathist/Communist flag! In fact, the "new" regime in Baghdad is composed almost entirely of "former" officers of Saddam's military and secret police—who were, by and large, trained in Soviet Russia. And right under the noses of the American forces these "former" Saddam loyalists have been reconstructing the entire Communist-controlled regime from the ground up. It is little wonder that the Communist terrorists are able to function so freely in the "new" Iraq. We would not be surprised to find Saddam himself released from prison and restored to power during the next couple of years.

"I should be interested to know why Rabbi Berel Lazar just gave Alexander Putin a medal (at Auschwitz, yet). I am aware that R Lazar said it was awarded to Putin as representative of the Russia which 'liberated Auschwitz', but this explanation flies in the face of the further enslavement which, as I am sure you would be the first to confirm, descended upon Eastern Europe as a result of the Russian 'liberation.' Does it not seem that Chabad talks out of the west side of its face in the West and the east side of its face in the East?"—RB, London, England
